Smarter groceries planned by AI

One AI plan built around what you have, what you want, and your budget — so you buy only what's missing, hit your macros, and waste less.

The problem

Shopping blind is expensive

We overspend and waste food for the same reason: we shop without a plan. We buy what we already own, forget what's in the fridge, and grab “healthy” without knowing if it fits.

You overspend

Blind trips mean duplicate cans, forgotten leftovers, and a receipt bigger than it needed to be.

Food goes to waste

The spinach wilts, the chicken expires, good intentions rot in the crisper — most of it avoidable.

No idea if it fits

“Healthy” is a guess. You grab things without knowing your calories, your protein, or your budget.

How it works

Four steps to a planned week

Stock what you have, set what you want and your budget, generate — then shop only the gaps.

  1. Add to pantry sheet: add manually, scan a receipt, or snap your groceries.
    1

    Stock your pantry

Type what you have — or snap a receipt or your shelf and the AI reads the items in.

    Snap to stock
  2. Home screen showing daily targets for a gain-muscle goal and a weekly budget.
    2

    Set goal & budget

Pick a goal, diet and allergies, and a weekly ₱ budget. Targets are computed, not guessed.

    Your macros, your ₱
  3. Meal plan with an expanded AI recipe: ingredients, instructions and per-meal macros.
    3

    Generate your plan

The AI writes days of real recipes — ingredients, steps and macros — built around your pantry.

  4. Grocery list with a green ‘Within budget’ hero and one item still to buy.
    4

    Shop only the gaps

Your list holds just what the pantry doesn't cover, kept within budget. Cook, tick off, repeat.

Features

Built around what you have,
what you want, and your budget

Five things the app does — all real, all shipping. No barcode scanning, no calorie guessing, no gimmicks.

Pantry: produce, meat and fish grouped by category, with expiry and ‘running low’ tags and a +/- stepper.

Plans from your pantry

Your pantry already knows what's for dinner. Plans reuse what you own, prefer items nearing expiry, and skip duplicate buys — so less ends up in the bin.

  • Categories, quantities, search & a quick +/- stepper
  • Expiry tracking: “expires in 3 days”, “running low”
  • Opt-in reminders the day before something expires
Home: today's meals with calories, and daily targets of 2540 kcal, 148g protein, 71g fat, 328g carbs for a gain-muscle goal.

Fits your goals

Macros that aren't a guess. Calorie and protein / fat / carb targets are computed deterministically (Mifflin-St Jeor → TDEE → goal-adjusted) and tracked daily.

  • Goals for gain muscle, lose fat, or maintain
  • Diet type, allergies, favorites & avoids respected
  • The AI reasons over the numbers — it never invents them
Grocery list: ‘Within budget’, ₱1930 left this week, spent ₱70 of ₱2000, with items already owned checked off.

Always on budget

The grocery list auto-fills from your plan with only what the pantry doesn't cover — kept inside your weekly ₱ budget, with a plain-language note on how it got there.

  • Money-saving substitution suggestions
  • Grounded in crowdsourced local prices (≈ ₱X/unit near you)
  • A clear “Within budget ✓” — or exactly what to swap
Add to pantry sheet with options to add manually, scan a receipt and log the spend, or snap your groceries so AI spots the food.

Snap to stock

Photograph a receipt or your groceries and the AI reads the items and adds them to your pantry — and can log the spend at the same time.

  • Receipt → items added & spend logged
  • Shelf or haul photo → items spotted and stocked
  • No barcode scanning, no manual typing marathon
Insights: ₱70 of ₱2000 spent this week, ₱2085 less than last week, 5 meals cooked, average calories 92% and protein 91% of goal, plus an 8-week chart.

See it working

Weekly spending vs. budget, week-over-week change, meals cooked, average calories and protein vs. goal, food-waste status, and an 8-week spending chart.

  • Watch spending fall: “₱ less than last week”
  • See macros land vs. your daily goal
  • Everything is offline-first and syncs across devices

Why it's smart

Grounded, not guessed

Three quiet things make the plans trustworthy — a real nutrition model, a pantry-first bias, and budgets built on real numbers.

A real nutrition model

Calorie and macro targets come from Mifflin-St Jeor BMR → TDEE → goal adjustment. The AI reasons over that model — it doesn't guess calorie numbers.

Pantry-first, less waste

Every plan starts from what you already own and leans on items nearing expiry first — so food gets used, not thrown out.

Budgets on real prices

Weekly budgets ride on crowdsourced, anonymized local grocery prices near you — real numbers, not stock guesses.

From the maker

Hey, I’m Zen

Zendrex Adversalo, founder of AI Grocery Planner

I built AI Grocery Planner because I was tired of the same two problems every single week: spending more than I meant to, and watching food rot in the fridge. I’d buy things I already had, forget the spinach until it wilted, and never really know if what I grabbed fit my goals or my budget.

So I made the app I wished existed. It starts from what’s already in your kitchen, plans around what you actually want to eat, and keeps the whole week inside your budget. It’s built PH-first, in peso, because that’s where I shop too.

It’s still early and I’m building it out in the open, solo. If that sounds like your kind of week, I’d genuinely love for you to try it and tell me what’s missing.

Social proof

What it feels like to plan ahead

Honestly the part I didn't expect to like is it telling me what's already in the fridge before I add stuff. Caught me almost buying garlic for the third time lol.

Chrysraille

I used to just eyeball my protein and hope for the best. Didn't think an app could actually keep me near my numbers without the grocery bill going up too.

Aldrin

The receipt scan is the reason I actually use this over just texting myself a list. Take a pic after the palengke and it's already in the app.

Mash

Living alone I used to buy way more than I needed and toss half of it by the weekend. First time in months I've actually finished a grocery haul before it went bad.

FAQ

Good questions

Does the AI just guess my calorie targets?

Targets are computed deterministically with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (BMR → TDEE → adjusted for your goal), not guessed. The AI reasons over those numbers to build recipes — it never invents calorie figures.

Do I have to type in my whole pantry by hand?

You can, but you don't have to. Snap a photo of a receipt or your shelf and the AI reads the items and adds them to your pantry — and can log the spend too.

Will the grocery list actually stay within my budget?

The list is built from your plan, contains only what your pantry doesn't already cover, and is kept within your weekly ₱ budget — with money-saving swaps when something's tight.

Where do the local prices come from?

From crowdsourced, anonymized community prices — “≈ ₱X/unit near you” — so budgets ride on real numbers instead of guesses.

Does it work offline and across devices?

It's offline-first, so it works without a connection, and your data syncs across devices when you're signed in.

Is it only for the Philippines?

It's built PH-first, so prices and budgets are in peso (₱), but the planning, pantry and nutrition features work anywhere.
